Visiting Martha’s Vineyard

Martha’s Vineyard Beckons

The island of Martha’s Vineyard is renowned for its natural beauty, fishing villages, fields of wild flowers, colorful clay cliffs, lighthouses, stunning sunsets and long stretches of beautiful beaches. Nature’s treasures can be found along the bike paths and land bank trails that meander across miles of state forest, farmlands and by the sea. With each season distinct and dramatic nature draws us out to discover her vast & splendid offerings.

Lucy Vincent BeachAbundance abounds from the soil and the sea. Rooted in a rich history of fishing and farming, the island’s bounty of beautiful produce and succulent seafood is unsurpassed. Herb farms, dairy farms, vegetable farms & oyster farms to name a few, offer their goods at picturesque farmer’s markets and become magic in the hands of talented island chefs. Artisan markets, flea markets and art galleries famous for their Sunday afternoon openings serve up free refreshments, drinks, entertainment and of course, art, ART and more ART!

Photographers take photos, painters paint, writers write and children stuff sand and seawater into bottles every summer with the hope of capturing a little piece of heaven. Yet the illusive spirit of the island has yet to wave a white flag and surrender to any one pen, brushstroke or snap of a shutter. In accordance with the perfection of nature, the island never fails to reveal this steadfast truth: The divinity we come here seeking has been with us all along. Sometimes we just need an island to remind us. Sometimes we just need Windows to Sea.
